Technician Notes:
Replaced microphone with Super Star. Sometimes the PA/CB and CB/WX switches were a little scratchy but most of the time seemed fine. Sometimes the LED channel indicator flickered while changing channels. Everything else works fine. My screwdriver did not touch the inside of the radio. Unsure if any tuning has been done by a previous tech but it has good strong output signal. Just over 5 watt dead key into a dummy load swinging about 25 watts with modulation (on my meter). Top of case appears to have someone’s old call sign slightly engraved. The SoundTracker lettering is partially rubbed off. Most sources indicate this radio may be discontinued but I found one location that claims to have new stock at a retail price of about $130.
